It's that time of year again...time to think about what I want to
work towards in 2013! This year I had many accomplishments including
transitioning to a new school, making new friends, and finding a way to
communicate! I can answer simple questions by holding onto and letting
go of my questioner's hands. I am learning to identify objects and make
choices. I also got to spend a lot more time this year standing and
stepping which has helped my hip joints form correctly. It's going to be
a hard year to beat, but I will try!
My resolutions for 2013:
1. Gain weight so I can get on the "typical" curve.
2. Spend 2 hours a day standing and walking.
3. Communicate my needs and wants with my teachers and family.
4. Increase my academic work to math and colors.
5. Begin toilet training.
6. Finish a race with my mom.
7. Continue to be happy, happy, happy!
My
Mom and Dad are going to attend a special seminar in February at The
Family Hope Center in Pennsylvania. This seminar with teach mom and dad
all about my brain and some new ways they can help me learn. After that,
mom and I will go back so I can meet the doctors and therapists. They
will create a program for me that will have exercises and different
therapies that my mom and dad can do with me at home. We have been
waiting to go to this place for over a year! I hope there are some new,
fun things to try!
Here are a few pics from our end-of-the-year trip to Florida. It was great sunny weather in the Keys!
