Winter Vacation 2013!

This week my family and I went on one of the best vacations ever! It's our first winter in New England, so we thought it would be fun to go to the mountains. We spent two nights in Waterville Valley, NH and a third night in Mt. Sunapee, NH. Here are some highlights of our trip...

One our first night we had dinner at the Blue Moon Cafe. It was a really cold night, but we still waited around to see the fireworks!

On our second day we went to the Curious George Cottage and read some stories.

Then we went sledding. I love to go fast down the hills on my sledding tube!

Waterville Valley had a great town square with restaurants and shops. There was a sleigh ride with really big horses. It was too cold for us to go, but they were fun to watch. I watched my brother and sister do ice skating with my dad and then my brother went cross country skiing with my mom. It was too cold for the rest of us that day!

On the third day we drove to Mt. Sunapee. This was where I was going to get to have so much fun! My mom's friend told us about an organization called NEHSA (New England Handicapped Sports Association). Her mother and father in law both volunteer there as ski instructors. After talking to them, my mom thought I would really like to try to ski with the adapted equipment. I had so much fun skiing with my mom and my instructors!

Here I am coming down the mountain. On my first run I was laughing and smiling the whole time!

Another ride down the slopes!

Last run of the day. I can't wait to come back!
