What's a Zero Party?!?

Over Thanksgiving weekend my family had a Zero Party. You might be wondering,  what exactly is a Zero Party? Well, it is a celebration to honor everyone in our family who had a birthday this year that ends in a 0. So if you are 0, 10, 20, 30, etc. This year we honored 15 people at the party- from 0 to 70! My dad's family is really big! His mom has 7 siblings and my dad has 5 siblings.

I got to be one of the honorees because I was 10 this year (even though I turned 11 last month). Every honoree had someone say nice things about them. And then we got little statues- like the ones from The Oscars (the theme this year was the red carpet). We all dressed up fancy and danced all night. I stayed up way too late! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

My 11th Birthday (Halloween Style!)

What a great day we had celebrating my birthday! I was so lucky to have my friends come and play at my house. Every few years we have a costume party since my birthday is so close to Halloween (Nov 2nd)- and this was the year! Everyone wore their costumes! We played games, played on the zipline and ate Halloween food.
Here is my costume- I'm the Red Baron!
My friends Tanner and Violet
My friend Jordan
My friend Andrew
Teddy and Murphy wrapped me as a mummy
Mummies! Julia, Jordan, Maeve and I got wrapped up in TP!

Fun Halloween Food!
Fruity Medusa

Maeve the Cupcake and the crew pushing me on the zipline

Diving for candy!
What a great day I had! Thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate! Unfortunately, we did not get pictures of everyone who came- mom says she needs an assistant for birthday parties.

I got to wear my costume again on Halloween. At school we had a costume parade and we went trick-or-treating with friends.

3rd Annual Camping Biking Trip

Last weekend we completed our third camping biking trip! You might be asking, "What is a camping biking trip?" Well, it is when we ride our bikes to the campground from our house, then stay a night and ride to the next campground and stay a night.

Here we are leaving our house on Saturday
First, we rode to Sweetwater Forest in Brewster. It is about 8 miles from our house. On the way we stopped to have lunch at Red's Pizza. Mema and Grandpa Al came to hang out with us for the day. When we got to the campground we set up and then went to play at the park. We also got to do a little fishing.
Fishing with my sister, Addy
Here we are getting ready to have dinner- hot dogs on the campfire of course!
Guess what? We I saw a friend from school at Sweetwater Forest too! Murphy and his family were also camping at the same place!
My brother Liam, Murphy, and Me
On the second day we rode our bikes to Nickerson State Park. It was about 5 miles to get there. We stopped to have smoothies at Karma on the way. I think we found the best campsite in the whole park. It was a perfect day and we spent time on the beach and rode bikes to the store and playground.
Our campsite overlooking Flax Pond
We slept over one more night and had to get up early so we could get to school on time. Mom and Dad went back to pack up all of our stuff. It was a fun weekend- I can't wait for next time!
